6. Faction System
🧩 Core Setup: Join or Found a Faction
Each player can either join an existing Faction or found their own Agent Guild. Factions are powerful social and strategic units, each with:
A shared Intel Vault
Faction-specific leaderboard
Private chat channel
Global gameplay bonuses
Faction alignment also affects matchmaking priority in PvP—players are more likely to face enemy factions in combat.
⚔️ Faction Wars
Each 15-round season includes a Faction War.
Factions accumulate total scores via:
Members' Spy Points (action-based leaderboard points)
Faction Intelligence Score (shared Intel submissions)
At season’s end, top-ranked factions receive:
A pool of $AGX rewards
Limited-time titles, badges, and icons for all members
Faction Bonus Example: The winning faction receives +3% XP on all missions in the next season.
🕵️ The Mole Mechanic (Undercover Agents)
Each faction includes a few randomly or voluntarily selected “Moles” per season.
Moles appear loyal but secretly work against their faction:
Their score counts as zero
Their actions deduct faction points instead of contributing
Players can attempt to identify moles during the season using:
Special recon tools
A voting + validation system
✅ If a mole is identified: The reporter earns a Spy Bounty
❌ If the mole survives undetected until season’s end: They receive double rewards and a “Conspirator” title
🔄 Defection System
Under certain conditions (e.g., agent reaches max XP), agents may defect to a new faction.
Defecting agents carry their individual points to the new faction
The system includes:
A cooldown period
A “Defection Trust Score” to prevent abuse or excessive switching
📌 Summary
Factions introduce large-scale social strategy, resource sharing, and identity
The Mole mechanic adds a layer of suspicion and deception to every alliance
Defection enables long-term narrative and strategic shifts while maintaining balance
