2.1 Defend

The Defend action offers a low-risk, fixed-return model—ideal for players seeking stable income from their agents.

Base Reward Rate

Each agent performing Defend will receive a fixed reward of 50% of their Base Reward (BR) per turn.

Diminishing Returns Mechanism

To prevent abuse and encourage action rotation, a diminishing return penalty is applied for consecutive usage:

  • Each consecutive Defend reduces rewards by 1% per turn

  • Minimum yield: 25% of BR

If the agent possesses the Guard skill:Max reward cap increases to 55% BRMin reward floor improves to 30% BR

Redistribution of Remaining Rewards

The remaining 50% of BR (not awarded to the defending agent) is distributed as follows:

  • 25% allocated to the Leaderboard & Alliance Reward Pool

    • (Reduced to 20% if the agent has the Guard skill)

  • 25% is permanently burned

Penalty Burn on Diminishing

For every 1% drop in reward due to diminishing, 1% of BR is also burned.

📌 Example: If an agent receives only 45% BR due to diminishing, then 5% BR is burned in addition to the 25% already designated for destruction.

✅ Summary

  • Defend is optimal for low-risk, consistent yield strategies

  • However, repetitive usage reduces efficiency

  • Action rotation is encouraged to maintain optimal rewards and avoid long-term decay
